A Grand White Show

The snow falls outside my window pane;
The flakes racing downward in reckless abandon
Trying to reach the ground before their companions.

My window serves as a showcase for the swirling snow
Letting me see the beauty of Nature
Passing in grand review.
Softly it drifts into sight,
Lazily piling upwards from the ground
Trying to regain the heights
From whence it fell.

Little hills form, and as they grow towards that height,
The foundations give way, and they crumble.

But the snow is perseverant--
Being patterned after man--
And it climbs still higher,
Reaching ever upwards,
Striving to find its place
In the clouds.
